Request for Activation Code

If you’re reading this page, then you’ve likely been sent here by our support engineers ([email protected]) when you requested an activation code for Quantum XL 2016. Quantum XL version 17 has been released and if you were directed here by [email protected], you have already been approved for a free upgrade. While version 17 doesn’t add any new statistical features, it no longer relies on manual activation making activation codes no longer necessary. A complete list of changes is at the bottom of this page.

Please note that this is a free upgrade to your existing license. You can’t sell or give away your old Quantum XL 2016 license key to another person, even if they are in the same organization.

To install Quantum XL v17 you need 1) a Quantum XL v17 license key which looks like “QXL17-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX” (where X is a number or letter) and to download the installer file. Please check the email that sent you to this page for your Quantum XL v17 license key. If you do not have it, then please see this page.

To download Quantum XL v17, please visit this page. Take care to ensure you download the correct bitness (32-bit or 64-bit) the button at the top of the page has instructions for how to determine if your Excel is 32-bit or 64-bit. 
 

Quantum XL v17 Changes

  • License key validation has been changed to be compatible with Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) and BitLocker.
  • The Trial System has been changed to be compatible with FIPS and BitLocker.
  • All .xla files have been changed to .xlam files to increase compatibility with Group Policy.
  • The activation system has been changed to no longer require manual activation codes.
  • A new menu item which closes Quantum XL has been added to all three of the ribbons in Excel (QXL Monte Carlo, QXL Stat Tools, QXL DOE).
  • Dual monitor use has been improved for 64-bit Excel.
  • The 64-bit installer is no longer a self extracting zip file.
  • Quantum XL now requires a minimum of Excel 2010 and Windows 7.
